NOTE: C.A.R.B. E.O.# D-269-30 Applies to Acura 2002-04 model years ONLY and Honda 2002-05 model years.
TO START: 1. Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable. 2. Loosen and remove the two bolts that secure the engine cover, then remove the engine cover as shown. 3. Using a pair of pliers, depress the hose clamp and slide it back off of the crank case vent on the air cleaner assembly as shown. 4. Using a pair of pliers, depress the hose clamp and remove the air temperature sensor from the stock intake tube as shown. 5. Loosen the two hose clamps at the throttle body and at the air cleaner assembly as shown. 6. Remove the Idle Air bypass control thermal valve vent hose from the vent on the stock intake tube as shown. 7. Loosen the stock hose clamp. 8. Loosen the 5 bolts and pull upwards to remove the upper air cleaner assembly as shown. 9. Pull the stock intake tube off of the throttle body, then remove the stock intake tube as shown. 10. Loosen and remove the two bolts and one nut on the lower air cleaner assembly as shown. PARTS LIST TOOLS NEEDED: Ratchet 6″ extension 8mm socket 10mm socket Flat blade screwdriver Pliers NOTE: C.A.R.B. E.O.# D-269-30 Applies to Acura 2002-04 model years ONLY and Honda 2002-05 model years. 11. Pull upwards to remove the lower air cleaner assembly as shown. 12. Using a 10mm socket, loosen the bolt that secures the air inlet duct as shown. 13. Remove the air inlet duct as shown.
